This show (25th April) - LAST SHOW EVER! What more fitting book to feature on the last ever installment of the Late Night Book Club than The Double Helix by James Watson, co-discoverer of the structure of DNA? And, in an almighty coincidence that attests to some sort of cosmic ralignment around this episode of the show, today's date was also the very date in 1953 that Crick and Watson had their paper on DNA published in the science jounal Nature - hence Double Helix Day. A great way to celebrate the final edition of the show. Also in the show: gruesome experiments from the Lost History of Evolutionary Biology, Klein Bottles (the gift for the nerd who has everything), kryptonite becomes real, the planet Gliese 581c and the last episode of the Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy radio show.
